oh boy well im actually pretty boring with lines and shading i mostly stick to the same two brushes for everything

image

lineart - hard round. pretty much always three pixels, and then i just vary the pen pressure to create contrast between the thin and the thick ! really light lines can be shading, can be texture, whatever youre willing to put time into, thick lines are eyebrows, words, smoke, who knows

image

and then shading and color is pretty much always different sizes and opacitys of rough round bristle, and i just layer brush strokes over and over until i like how it looks aha

image

coloring though. this is how i color pretty much. everything. and its not a very efficient method but this is how i do it. get the lineart and base color down and just. who cares if its not in the lines. throw it down there. green everywhere

image

slap some details on there. eyes. stripes. who knows

image

shadows and highlights on a different layer ??? same layer??? your call

image

cleanup messy overlap. dont be afraid to draw over lineart layer. is your drawing of a lizard making energy balls ??? if not start over
